No payment information, government identification numbers, or sensitive financial data are collected at any time.
How We Use It
All data held by the archive is used exclusively for family heritage documentation. Specifically:
- To display member profiles, the interactive family tree, and genealogical relationships to authorised visitors.
- To allow registered users to claim their own profile record and submit edit suggestions for admin review.
- To send password-reset emails to users who request them. No marketing emails are sent.
- To maintain an admin activity log for archive integrity and accountability.
Data is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose.
Who Can See It
The archive operates with the following access tiers:
- Public visitors may browse basic member listings and view the family tree with limited detail.
- Registered users (family members with approved accounts) can view full profiles, including dates, addresses, and biographical notes.
- Administrators have full access to all records for the purpose of maintaining and verifying the archive.
No data is shared with external organisations, government agencies, or third-party services. There are no advertisements and no third-party tracking scripts on this site.
Data Retention
Member records are retained indefinitely as part of the permanent historical archive — they document real people in the Paudel family lineage and are not subject to routine deletion.
User account data (email, password hash) is retained for as long as the account is active. If a user requests deletion of their account, their login credentials are removed while any approved member record they were linked to remains in the archive.
Your Rights
As a member of the Paudel family documented in this archive, or as a registered user, you have the right to:
- Access — request a summary of what information is held about you.
- Correction — use the "Suggest Edit" feature on your profile page to propose corrections to inaccurate information.
- Account deletion — request removal of your user account credentials by contacting the archive administrator.
- Objection — if you believe information about a living person has been posted inappropriately, contact the administrator to request a review.
Because this archive documents historical lineage, certain records of deceased ancestors are maintained as permanent heritage records and cannot be removed from the archive except at administrator discretion.
